CORK'S 96FM - WE ARE CORK

TVC, OOH, Social Content, Logo Redesign

Brief: To produce a 20 second television commercial that communicates the pride people of Cork have in their county within a two week deadline. To create an outdoor campaign based off the assets gathered during the TVC and to refresh their current logo.

Solution: Due to the tight turn around we had to be very organised in our approach. We used the radio station's social pages as a way of connecting with local people and identifying the interesting places and people from Cork city. We created a story centred around what it meant to be from Cork. It focused on Cork's colourful history and its passionate Corkonians. It was shot as a moving portraiture style. The ad was aired on UTV Ireland and was also published on Cork's 96FM social pages.

The outdoor needed to reflect the same attitude of the TVC and focus in on the true meaning of Cork. Mirroring the portrait style of the TVC we targeted some of the popular locations of the city and in some cases well known figures. The portraits were then split in half, with the representative of Cork on one side and the core messaging of what it means to be from Cork on the other. These were displayed on 48 sheets, 6 sheets and press through out Cork city.

With the success of the TVC and the outdoor, Cork's 96FM wanted their logo to be more in-tune with the fresh and clean branding of the new advertising. They wanted to focus on a landscape logo with a secondary portrait option. I kept it a lot cleaner and uncomplicated compared to their current logo.
